Growing family!

Our growing family!!!
(Thanks to JC-Originals Photography for the photo)
It has been entirely too long since I have posted anything. But thanks to my friend Ashley, my blog is a bit cuter and I know how to use it a bit better...so hopefully I'll be better about posting more often.
Obviously there have been some BIG changes since the last time I posted. There will be a new addition to our family next month! We are all super excited! And no, we don't know what the sex will be. But I'm getting super excited to find out! I'm a bit nervous about having two kids, but I know it will be great. I think Jack will be a wonderful big brother. He told us tonight that he was going to teach the baby how to put shoes and socks on and drive the car!
Jack is growing like a weed and talking ALL the time. He makes me laugh everyday and, if it's possible, I think I love him more each day! Sunday is Halloween and he will be a tiger. He thinks it's so cool he has a tail in his costume. And when we ask him what tigers say, he tells us very loudly, "ROAR!!!"
Well, this weekend we have Trunk or Treat at church and plan to take Jack trick or treating on Sunday. And also, Sunday, we are watching the Rangers beat the Giants in game 3 of the World Series with our small group! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures to share! Have a great weekend!

Spring!!!!

It is finally spring! My favorite time of year. And I think it may be little man's favorite too. He loves going outside. We spend at least SOME time outside everyday that we can because he loves to pet the kitties and try to feed them leaves! The other day, I was sweeping off the front porch and I had to give Jack a broom to because he wanted to help...he loves being Mommy's little helper. I've been working more lately because the hospital has needed extra help; I don't like that I have to spend more time away from him and Ryan, but I do like the fact that Jack is getting the opportunity to spend more time with Ryan. I think baby boys need their dads! And they have such a great time together. See, God does have a plan =)
Tomorrow we get to go on a shopping trip with Melissa and Cade, and Amanda and Gavin. I'm so glad that we have friends that have kids the same age because I love the fact that Jack has friends that he will be able to grow up with. They are so funny when they are together!
I don't have any recent pictures downloaded onto the computer yet, but I'll get them on here ASAP and post them!

It has literally been forever since I have posted anything! I am going to try to be better about it because I love looking at my friends blogs. I don't think I even told anyone I started a blog the last time I posted anything (which also happens to be the first time I posted anyting)! Jack is now 1! He is growing up so fast, but it is so amazing to watch him learn and show more of his personality daily. He seems to understand everything we tell him. He also has such an eagerness to help. Hopefully this will last! I pray everyday that he will grow up to have a servant's heart and be a Godly man...he definitely has an excellent example in his father! Ryan is such a great father! I am definitely blessed to have these two boys in my life!
We just celebrated Christmas and the New Year. It really is true that your Christmas spirit is renewed when you have kids. It was so much fun to see him get so excited over the tree and the lights...and the presents! Jack is still trying to open the presents we have yet to give to family! We put all of the decorations away today, which I have figured out is a much bigger task when you have a one year old who likes to "help"! Here are some pics from Christmas

He loved the bows!!!!

First present...didn't take him long to figure out how to open them!
